Over 20 years of the foundation of the company, Manuel Costa e Filhos is now managed by third-generation entrepreneurs who are waging in the recognition of their brand by way of young, fresh and delicious Portuguese green wines.
The company was founded in 1989 by Manuel Costa and is the result of the synergy between knowledge and passion for winemaking. The filling of the first bottle gave way to the pioneer brand: Minha Adega. The acceptance and recognition of the quality of the wine have increased production and sales.
Currently, the facilities of Manuel Costa e Filhos comprise 7,000 square meters and include the production unit, the winemaking system, the laboratory and the warehouse. This location is complemented by 190 hectares of vineyards distributed throughout the municipalities of Resende, Cinfães, Amarante, Penafiel, Baião, Marco de Canavezes, Felgueiras, Vizela and Arcos de Valdevez.
In 2010, the company started exporting their wines to Europe, which was a fundamental step for the international recognition of the Portuguese green wine.
So far, Manuel Costa e Filhos have mantained their business in the family, progressing throughout time by allying tradition, knowledge and innovation. Currently, part of its goal is to target a young adult consumer who want to drink a fresh, fruity and delicious wine, a true green wine.
