Foral De Meda - DOC Douro - White Wine

Fresh and balanced aroma.

Quinta Vale D’Aldeia
Bandeira - Portugal

Origin

The grapes that originated this wine come from the higher zones in Douro, with an altitude between 500 and 550 meters, thus allowing a good thermal amplitude, in other words, heat during the day and cold during the night. These conditions are extremely important for a slow maturation, in order to preserve the aromas of the grape variety, its freshness and acidity.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by variety and plots and placed in 20kg cases. After being completely stalked they are crushed. Then the wort is slightly pressed and decanted until it achieves the necessary clarity. It is fermented at a 15/16ºC temperature in a vat during around three weeks with the intention of magnifying its primary aromas.
