The grapes that originated this wine come from different wine parcels in the Quinta Vale d’Aldeia, which is located in the Meda region, at an altitude of around 450 meters. It is exposed to dawn sunlight and the soil is schist-rich
50% Touriga Nacional - 25% Touriga Franca - 25% Tinto Cão
The grapes are hand-harvested, placed in 20kg cases at their ideal maturation point, with the intention that they present a powerful maturation, leading to greater aromatic and polyphenol concentrations. After soft crushing and complete destemming, the grapes are fermented in steel vats, thus allowing that the quality constituents present on the skins of the mature grapes pass smoothly into the wine. Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels.
